Changing our thinking is the starting point. Seeing challenges as opportunities for growth is the clearest answer to overcoming fear and removing its paralyzing effects. Challenges increase our adrenalin and release energy and increase heart rate but not the “fight or flight” response.
Different hormones are released when we experience stress; we become more focused and can access our mental and physical energy more easily.
We have become weak as humans, literally and figuratively because we “take the easy way out” most of the time. This explains why we are facing a global health crisis.
We want to be healthy but “it’s so hard to lift weights or find time to go to the gym
We want to be healthy but it’s so hard to give up simple unnecessary things that eat up time
We want to be healthy but it’s “too hard” to give up our junk food in favor of healthy foods.
We want to be healthy but we don’t want to spend time cooking and preparing our own meals. It is very difficult and so we choose “fast food” … (the only thing fast about fast food is how quickly it destroys our health).
We want to be healthy but we want it as a gift, not as something we have earned because of “hard work” but as a reward for changing our lives.
We want to be healthy without doing any “effort”.
Easy is not pushing the envelope. Life is not designed to work that way. Life is set up as a reward – give and take system. What you put in, you get out. It’s easy.

Pushing aside the difficulties and continuing to choose the easy way sends clear messages to our mind and body that we are satisfied with our lives. Life returns the same to us and instead of pushing the door of new opportunities open or healing us from the inside out, it begins to decay.
