How to Read Your Way to Better English or Foreign Language Proficiency
First stop, the local library
So, are we improving our English or learning a foreign language, why? Then our first stop is the library. You need to track down a decent grammar book in the target language and relatively short-length reading material in the target language. Both of these resources may be readily available at the local library and at little or no cost. By using it, you are going to improve your English or foreign language skills significantly. A grammar book can be a useful guide to the rough spots you may encounter when the grammar of the target language is very different from English or your mother tongue. But make no mistake, it is not “the Bible” and you should not overburden yourself with grammar rules and regulations. Your grammar book is a useful guide for occasional reference. Use it accordingly.
A structured type

Copies of foreign language magazines are available at newsstands, libraries, airline offices, consulates and embassies, bookstores, universities, language institutes, ethnic stores, shops, travel agencies and restaurants, by subscription, and online.
