Fighting Spiritual Depression
Are you disappointed? Feeling down and out? Wondering why you should even bother trying to live a Christian life anymore, especially when you seem to be such a failure?
Who hasn’t felt worthless at times? Who hasn’t grown impatient with themselves and felt sick at their lack of spiritual progress? (Luke 8:15). You are not alone! We all walk through those valleys of the shadow of death. But be patient: the path must move again soon! “Why are you cast down, O my soul? And why are you troubled within me? Hope in God: for I will yet praise him, who is the health of my countenance, and my God” (Ps. 42:11).
Who will encourage you to quit? Does Christ want you to give up? Who died for you? Will God pressure you to surrender? Many never knew what evil beast and enemy we must face. Even those who did not reject Satan as a superstition did not understand how dangerous he really is to our health and well-being. God picks up the pieces of life that have been cruelly torn and torn and left for the dead of sin (Isa. 49:24-25; Amos 3:12).
Satan froths at the mouth against our incredible human abilities and wants to take us out like a sniper — one at a time. He hates all mankind with a jealous rage (because we are created after God), but he specifically targets the brethren (1 Peter 5:8-11).
Satan can take things that are true about you and twist them, take them out of context, and blow them all out of proportion to destroy your will to live. He never stops badmouthing us because he is a murderer and a liar! (John 8:44; Revelation 12:10). But Don’t let the forces of darkness overcome your desire to live in the light. Don’t accept Satan’s gloomy mind. Don’t give in to his hopeless attitude of defeat. He has no authority to condemn (Rom 8:1,33).
King David would be disappointed, but he ended his prayer on a positive note, showing the healing effect of God’s Spirit on our hearts when we are deeply engaged in prayer. “I was faint, until I wasn’t Believed To see the goodness of the Lord in the land of the living. Wait on the Lord: be of good courage, and he will strengthen your heart: I say, wait on the Lord” (Ps. 27:13-14). David trusted in the goodness of God, hoped and waited for His mercy. His grace is sufficient – grace forgiveness To do or enable (2 Cor. 12:9).
God will give us grace to bear many of life’s burdens (Hebrews 4:16). His Holy Spirit enables us to be gracious — full of grace — even in the face of adversity. we Live and learn From various situations to be kind in word and deed, attitude and deed. David knew beyond a shadow of a doubt that: “The Lord will strengthen his people: the Lord will bless his people with strength” (Ps. 29:11). So “be patient, and he will strengthen your hearts, you who hope in the Lord” (Ps. 31:24).
Even if you drift away, your sins have led you away from God, and Satan takes you captive (2 Tim. 2:26; 1 Cor. 5:5), remember God and He will remember you. Not that he has not forgotten you: “But Zion said, The Lord has forsaken me, and my Lord has forgotten me. Can a woman forget her suckling child, so as not to pity the child of her womb? Yea, they may forget, though I will not forget you. Behold, I have engraved you on the palm of my hand; your walls are continually before me” (Isa. 49:14-16). God’s love for us is beyond our love for Him. He proved this when Jesus’ palms drove through them (Zech. 13:6).
Some people are foolishly deceived by sin and they are again carelessly trapped – trapped in the danger zone – but they can overcome what they are currently overcome as long as they do not give up (Hebrews 3:13; 2 Peter 2 :20). Those who have completely turned their backs on God, who refuse to get back up when knocked into the ring, will lose the victory.
“And yet for all these things (despite us), when they are in the land of their enemies, I will not drive them out, nor abhor them, utterly destroy them, and break my covenant with them: for I am the Lord their God” (Lev. 26:44).
God promises to release, reunite, and restore. He will free us from the sins that have cruelly occupied our time and attention, reuniting our spiritual senses — for Satan’s psychological warfare has left us with a basket-case and a scattered brain (Luke 22:31-32; Deut. 28: 66-67) — and restore us to a right and proper relationship with Him (where we are), “If any of you is cast out into the outer parts of heaven, from there the Lord your God will gather you, and from there He will bring you” (Deut. 30: 3-4). No matter how far you have wandered, God has not lost sight of you. “Where shall I go from your Spirit? Or where shall I flee from your presence?” (Ps. 139:7).
If you begin to cry out to God for help, even if it is only a whisper because you are so weak, He will see and hear and respond. “The Lord is near to the brokenhearted; and saves the contrite spirit… none of them that trust in him shall be forsaken” (Ps. 34:18,22). “For I will not strive for ever, I will not be angry for ever: for the soul shall fail before me, and the souls that I have made… I have seen his ways, and will heal him: I will lead him, and comfort him and his mourners” (Isa. 57:15-18).
God sees the trouble we are in and our return to sin has led us dangerously astray and entangled, bringing us almost to the point of no return, but nothing can separate us from God’s love unless we allow it ( Rom 8:35-39). God can do as long as there is a spark of God’s Spirit Renewal Our minds and our lives are changed (Ps. 51:10). God will finish what He started in our lives (Phil. 1:6; Isa. 66:9). Never forget that we worship a miracle-working God!
Remember that the prodigal son was still far from his father, their relationship was separated, but when he “came to himself” and went home – he was still one. the great away – “His father saw him, and had compassion, and ran and fell on his neck and kissed him” (Luke 15:17, 20).
God knows where you are and where you are headed in your heart and mind, even if your actions and attitude have not yet paid attention! God knows they will in time. “For he remembers our frame (make-up); he remembers that we are but dust” (Ps.103:14). God wants to encourage us to change, not discourage us from trying (2 Corinthians 2:7).
Constructive criticism, not destructive. Judgment with mercy. God helps but Satan hinders progress, but we keep winning, One step at a time (1 Thess. 2:18; 2 Peter 3:18). God gave David the kingdom, but he had to fight for it! So do we (Matt. 11:12; I Tim. 6:12). Otherwise we will assume it. Continue the struggle (Luke 13:24). Everything you believe in is worth fighting for. Growth comes in stages. We must patiently let our trials take their course and build up the character of God in us (Hebrews 12:11; James 1:4).
Satan wants to put out your light (I Tim. 4:16). He despises the sacred embers, light, and truth of God’s Spirit, which we as a royal priesthood uphold and represent (1 Peter 2:9; John 17:17; Exodus 27:20). God does not kick us when we are down and out, but encourages us to get up and overcome and do His work (Ps. 37:24; Philippians 3:13). When your faith is shaken and your confidence is shaken, Christ will not finish you off Add more oil So we can rise and shine (Isa. 42:3). “For God hath not appointed us unto wrath, but unto salvation… Wherefore dwell ye together, comforting and edifying one another, even as ye also do” (1 Thess. 5:9-11).
“For God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us… For, when we were enemies, we were reconciled to God by the death of his Son; much more, being reconciled, we shall be saved by his life.” .. through whom we have received atonement” (Rom. 8-11).
Can God show us such love when we are not trying to live a Christian life that pleases Him, no matter how imperfectly we are trying now? Do we not suffer because we hunger and thirst for righteousness? Brothers appreciate you Holy grief! It is fulfilling a purpose in your life that will last forever! Growing pains hurt.
We should love God more when we see His mercy and patience towards us. His goodness should make us want to draw closer to Him and do what we can to show how much we appreciate His tender love (Rom 2:4; Luke 7:47). Let nothing come in the way of our relationship with God our Creator! If God had repeatedly delivered our ancestors, when they called upon Him, how many more Will he save us from the lake of fire? (Jude 23, 24).
God can rescue us from our sinful condition and restore us to His priesthood promise (Zech. 3). We can be “brands taken out of the fire,” saved from the “furnace of affliction” (Isa. 48:10). God can forcefully remind us that what we really want is His fulfilling kingdom and righteousness, not shallow things to fill the gaps in life (Ps. 106:15; 107:9).
We should keep the topmost Realizing the meaning and purpose of life: To develop a holy, righteous character of God in joyful anticipation of God’s kingdom. It will help us to face every challenge in this purification process that we call conversion. We must remember: “You have no temptation but normal [not unusual] For man: But God is faithful, who will not allow you to be tempted beyond the level of your endurance; But every temptation will make a way out, so that you can handle it” (1 Corinthians 10:13).
And note that “… the sufferings of this present time are not worthy to be compared with the glory that will be revealed in us” (Rom 8:18) because Christ will soon return and every practicing Christian will be perfect. Then we will help our Savior prepare the way for our Father’s wonderful coming to the New Jerusalem!(Rev. 21:3).
The Kingdom of God is drawing ever closer, so we must keep our heads up and not be discouraged, but allow ourselves to be encouraged to go forward (Isa. 35:3; Luke 21:28). All stumble, but do not waver (Ps. 37:24). Let your attitude be; “I will No Die, but live and declare the works of the Lord. The Lord has punished me severely, but He has not given me over to death” (Ps. 118:17-18). Hallelujah!
God’s forgiveness and Christ’s cleansing power remain in effect (Isa. 18). God knows what we have suffered and has taken with us the crown of thorns (Isa. 63:9; Genesis 22:13; Exodus 3:2). God could not draw nearer (Jer. 23:23). The bottom line is: have hope And don’t despair; faith And don’t be afraid! After all, “…it is your Father’s pleasure to give you the kingdom” (Luke 12:32).
