If you can’t remove the virus file, close it.

Click on the Start menu and browse to the C: drive from My Computer. Search for the Trojan virus file using Windows Search. Type the name of the virus file in the desired field and hit Enter. When the file appears in the results, right click on it and select Rename to change its name to something like virus_temp (you can name it anything you want). The update will weaken the Trojan virus. The most common branches to check are HKEY_CURRENT_USER and HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE. However, you should check other branches to be safe. Exit the Registry Editor.

After you have completed the scan and removed all malicious entries from the registry and other locations, connect to the Internet and download Anti-Malware, a free antivirus tool from Malwarebytes. Visit the official Malwarebytes website (Malwarebytes.org, prefix ‘www.’ in front) and download the latest version of Anti-Malware. Save the file when prompted. After that, run the configuration file to install the tool. Once done, open the tool and update. Wait for the update to download and install. When you’re done, click the Scanner tab and select Scan full instead of Quick scan. Click the Record button to start recording and wait until it’s done. Then, quickly remove the virus files.
