How Does Hit Point Washing Work in Maplestory After the Big Bang Patch?
Both Asiasoft and Nexon say that there will no longer be a need for Hit Point (HP) wash to successfully eliminate bosses after the Big Bang (also called Revival and other titles) patch as the HP gain and damage formula has been changed, but , with new powerful bosses that are coming out with frequency and an increase in Maximum HP of 99 999 instead of 30 000, this may not always be the case. Over time, powerful bosses (like Black Mage, when it comes out) will also increase the chance of having higher than normal HP to survive and, possibly, HP washes will still be necessary to survive.
To answer the title question, the HP wash works the same as it did before the Big Bang patch.
You:
* Compare your MP with the min MP of your class and level.
* Then add the desired amount of APs to Hit Points.
* Use AP regeneration to remove the same stats from MP and increase your available stats.
The actual difference in HP washes itself out with the limited MP method and the amount of Hit Points gained per point for other classes.
The forms and numbers are listed as below. The forms of the first job are usually different for each class, but being the most people who can think seriously about this will not need to start before the second job and usually until the third or fourth, it is not added.
Blades/Spearmen 2nd+ job:
minute MP: 4 * lvl +155
HP increase: 20
MP removed: 4
Fighters / Arans 2nd + job:
minute MP: 4 * lvl +55
HP increase: 20
MP removed: 4
Pirates/Mechanics 2nd+ job:
minute MP: 18 * lvl + 95
HP Increase: 18
MP removed: 16
Thieves (but two pages) 2nd + job:
minute MP: 14 * lvl +135
HP increase: 16
MP removed: 12
Main Types:
MP minutes: 14 * lvl + 355
HP increase: 16
MP removed: 12
Bowmen 2nd + service:
MP minutes: 14 * lvl + 135
HP increase: 16
MP removed: 12
Adventurer Mages 2nd + job:
minute MP: 22 * lvl + 449
HP increase: 6
MP removed: (due to int calculations, it’s very hard to detect and usually not needed)
Knights of Cygnus: (similar to their fellow Adventurers, the knights of the dawn use battle numbers)
Evans 2nd + works:
minute MP: 22 * lvl + 143
HP Increase: 12
MP removed: (due to int calculations, it’s very hard to detect and usually not needed)
Wild Hunters 2nd + features:
MP minutes: 14 * lvl + 123
HP increase: 16
MP removed: 12
Battle Mages 2nd + job:
MP minutes: 22 * level + 143
HP increase: 20
MP removed: (due to int calculations, it’s very hard to detect and usually not needed)
That being said, having Hit Points that are higher than they would be without a wash, still costs a lot of money: to achieve. This can be difficult for others to achieve without help.
